Metering – How to Install the GEM120CT Meter

This guide explains how to wire and mount the GEM120CT correctly to ensure accurate readings.

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Isolate power before working on the system.
2. Mount the GEM120CT on a DIN rail in the distribution board.
3. Connect voltage references:
   Meter Terminal – 3  – Neutral (N) – Neutral supply
   Meter Terminal – 4  – Live (L1) – Live grid feed
4. Install CT clamp:
   • Place around the live cable only (not neutral).
   • Arrow on clamp must face toward the property load.
   • Connect CT clamp wires to the bottom of the meter:
     Port – 1 – White – CT+
     Port – 2 – Black – CT-
5. Tighten all terminals and ensure the CT clamp is fully closed.
6. Power on the system and confirm LED activity.

Notes

• Do not extend or shorten CT wires as this will cause inaccurate readings.
• Use a single live conductor within the clamp only.
